Stay at Casa Aquarius and discover the region

Departing from our private beach in Paraty Mirim, you can discover some of the most fascinating places on the Costa Verde. Each stop reveals an authentic Brazil, made of crystal-clear waters, lush nature, and preserved history. An ideal itinerary for those visiting Brazil seeking a unique experience.

Paraty House of Culture

Historic Center of Paraty

17 km from Casa Aquarius lies the famous Paraty, with its cobblestone streets and colonial mansions that tell the story of the gold rush and the imperial period. Nearby, the bay's forts, such as Forte Defensor, preserve cannons and ruins that offer a glimpse into the past. And, of course, there are shops, ateliers, cafes, and restaurants that exude pure charm.

Paraty Mirim and the Caiçara Community

On the beach where our itinerary begins, the district where Casa Aquarius is located, it's worth exploring where the river meets the sea and exploring the small Caiçara village. There, the Church of Our Lady of Conception (1720) is a historic landmark that recalls the region's colonial origins. The nearby mangrove forest also reveals the region's rich biodiversity.

Mamanguá Bag

Mamanguá Bag

Known as Brazil's only tropical fjord, Saco do Mamanguá is impressive with its 8 km length, surrounded by mountains covered in the Atlantic Forest. Along its shores, more than 30 unspoiled beaches invite you to enjoy a peaceful swim. For the adventurous, a trail leads to Sugarloaf Mountain, offering views of the entire region.

Old Woman's Bag

A haven only accessible by sea. This small cove with calm, clear waters houses a mysterious grotto and conveys the feeling of being in a secret place. It's the perfect spot for swimming and relaxing. Your stay at Casa Aquarius includes a boat ride to visit this and other places in the region.

Cotton Island

Just a few minutes by boat from Paraty, Cotton Island is a true postcard of the Costa Verde. Small and surrounded by crystal-clear waters, it invites you to snorkel among colorful fish and relax in a pristine setting. Its dense vegetation, which slopes down to the white sand, creates the perfect contrast between forest and sea.

Cotia Island

Located across from Casa Aquarius, it's surrounded by calm, crystal-clear waters that resemble a large natural pool, ideal for swimming and stand-up paddleboarding. Its horseshoe shape protects boats from the wind, creating a safe and welcoming environment. The contrast between the white sand, the blue sea, and the dense vegetation of the Atlantic Forest makes the island a perfect place to immerse yourself in a still-untouched Brazil, where time seems to slow down.
